The game between Nezhmetdinov and Chernikov (Rostov-on-Don 1962), which Dorian Rogozenco presents in his video, had a prominent predecessor: a year earlier the same variation of the Accelerated Dragon was played in Fischer-Reshevsky - however, Fischer failed to find the right idea after his opponent's eleventh move and the game quickly ended in a draw. Nezhmetdinov, on the other hand, thought for a long time and came up with a queen sacrifice that came very surprising - not only for his opponent: 12.Qxf6! White only gets two pieces for the queen, but thanks to his much better piece play and control over the dark squares he can mount a strong king attack. "One of several very impressive games by Nezhmetdinov!"
